The Early Days
It wasn't too long after I grew accustomed to my turf on 53rd Avenue that the whole pack was
forced to evacuate the den in an incident I prefer to call the great flood of Christmas 1995. It wasn't long before we were
living in a much more spacious den on Mathew Street, near lots of parks and playgrounds. It was there that I gave up my
puppyhood and moved into the working world.
Discovery of the Tennis Ball
My day is pretty intense. At work, I manage and supervise
over 20 tennis balls, all of which have different needs and demands.
They need to be cleaned and groomed daily, and the more senior they are, the more grooming they need.
Sometimes when you hold a tennis ball, it will decide to fly off in a random direction.
That's where I specialize. I retrieve them at once and return them home where they belong.
Also, because of humans lack of ability to understand the way I communicate, I can effectively
request attention by placing a wet tennis ball in one of several places next to or in your body.
I had a close friend named Nikki, who stayed with me for about a year in our new den. She's a Shetland Sheepdog who I was always willing to lend an ear to.
I havent seen her for a while though, but I sure she's happy! Here's a few choice pics of us playing in the snow in our
backyard.
| Did I mention that I love the outdoors... all the smells, mud, and prickly things really
make my day! Here's one of me on a hiking trip in Western Maryland!
|
|
| Even better is Great Falls, there are lots of nooks and crannies that are perfect for
a lap dog my size!
|
| Still, nothing beats a good swim... I do it doggy style. Here is me preparing to be
the next loch ness monster...
|
|
| And, if you don't believe I can play the part, check out my last acting job as a vampire!
|
| With everything else, I just want to say that I show my respect for my heritage at
every opportunity, by bringing retrieving all those things that my pack leader truly desires...

In my future I have BIG plans. I'm working on being a regional director over all things
round, as well as training for a rescue dog! Think I'm qualified?
